The LDK-4425 is a rugged power converter from the Grass Valley 3G Transmission family. It takes two single-mode (dark) fiber strands and turns them into a complete SMPTE hybrid fiber connection that carries both signal and camera power — so a 3G Fiber or XF Fiber camera can run far beyond the reach of a standard hybrid cable.
Used together with the 3G Twin Base Station (LDK-4420) in the truck or rack room, it lets outside-broadcast and live-production teams cover venues where only dark fiber is available — long stadium, golf-course or campus runs included. Its weather-resistant housing and integrated sun hood make it built for field deployment.
